Anya Will Declare God's Truth

The final results from the spinal tap (LP) came in yesterday and it looks like the leukemia has not spread there!!!! This is a major victory and we are rejoicing!

Yesterday evening Anya was in a lot of pain and unable to rest. It was heartbreaking to see her eyes rolling in the back of her head and to hear her cries. But around 9pm the doctors decided to give her a dose of morphine to allow her to sleep and she slept through the night until 4am! She woke up again in pain but we gave her some Tylenol to help her get through.

My prayer for her today is from Ps 30:8-10: "I cried out to you, O Lord: And to the Lord I made supplication: What profit is there in my blood, When I go down to the pit? Will the dust praise You? Will it declare Your truth? Hear, O Lord, and have mercy on me; Lord, be my helper! and I look for the day when I will be able to say, like David the psalmist, "You have turned my mourning into dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, To the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever." AMEN!

Dear Anya, Anna, Israel and family,

You are in our prayers continually throughout the days and at night when we waken.

Thank you for the updates and the picture. We miss you all already. So sorry for all your pain.

We are trusting God to provide for all of you: relief of pain, peace of mind, strength in the trials, some rest along the way as you recall His promises, and ultimately healing for Anya. We know He is able to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

We love you guys.
Ron, Jan, Emily and Jon

to annas parents- My daughter at age 4.5 was diagnosed with A.L.L. in 1998. She is now 13 . Reading your story brought back alot of memories. I to am a great believer of the lord god almighty. When this happened I prayed and gave it all to god. I treated it like the flu and left it in the doctors and the lords hands. I chose not to know everything. The only advice that I could give you is dont forget shes a little girl and let her play and love and do what little girls do. they learn very quickly how to get what they want when they want it. Treat her as NORMAL as possible. Its easy to put them in a bubble. But DONT. Psalms 121 helped me to get thru. I hope I have helped. Stay strong you will be faced with alot . But GOD is on your side so who can be against you? We also went to ST. V's in Toledo . Your in the best place ever. They are wonderful!!!! They become your family. I still consider them ours. Oh, one more thing , my daughter doesnt remember much about that time but I will never forget what GOD has done for me and my family.

Hello Israel and Anna, Anya and all,
We are friends of Anya's Grandpa Paul from Bible Quizzing and want you to know that we are praying for Anya. In 2003, our daughter Anna was in the hospital for quite awhile with ecoli, and we so greatly appreciated the prayers and loving support of the family of God. What a blessing to be a part of the kingdom family! You are in the midst of a difficult journey, and our hearts go out to you. May God give you strength and peace and endurance, and may He bring healing to little Anya.
In Christ's love,
The Burkey Family
